Following feedback from our loyal online customers, we decided to improve our standard of photography through the use of real models and more product shots in general, we are really happy with the results and we hope you like them too.

So here are a few behind the scenes snaps and a little sneak peak of a few exclusive pieces  ….

2.  One of the things i love about cycling around London are the random beautifully crafted architectural ornamentation all speaking a secret language of symbolism that’s dead to us now. i love this handpainted sign writing and the way this sign is laid out.

3.  It is my opinion that you can never have too many hats & that getting a new hat is almost as good as getting a new head. Here are two that i tried on during my travels around town this week.

4.  London has some of the best markets & museums in the world. I have an enduring passion for both. This solid gold mouse bracelet that i found at The British Museum has influenced my work and is plain for all to see.

5. Another fascinating place is The Museum of London where if you ask very nicely they can take you into the archives & unearth special treasures for your eyes only such as this Pearly King Jacket.

6. This next picture represents foxes that make our streets their nocturnal home. When i am cycling back from my workshop late at night i see so many that it makes me feel as though i am intruding their private world. This image relates to the Pearly Kings & Queens research that i have been doing. So as not to ruin the surprise all i’ll say for now is i have a full set of fox claws, & some pear shaped pearls and garnets which are works in progress ….

7.  I love objects that have stories attached to them & i love jewellery so it’s no surprise that i love this little group of tiny objects that i snapped at The Museum of Childhood. This minature pearl necklace, gold bracelet & silver service belong to a porcelain doll made in the exact image of a princess. She was auctioned in order to raise money to support an Edwardian orphanage.

8. And now for something contemporary. This bronze sculpture of a lost child’s sock by Tracey Emin which is on permanent display on the steps of The Foundling Museum is one of my absolute favourite pieces of art by her. I find it so very moving.

9. I took this picture on Leather Lane at The Department for Coffee & Social Affairs. The artist was inspired by imagining Turners response to the views from airplanes. Stunning and simple yet so eloquent. This is a canvas i would love to own!

10.  These last few pictures sum up the essence of what draws me to our markets. Borough Market on Thursdays & Portobello Market on Fridays are the ones i love the most. Borough has an indisputably rural feel to it that being a country girl at heart i adore.

At Portobello you can find vintage in excellent condition from all over the world such as this fur & pearl collar from Japan. There are also all kinds of curiosities to wonder at like this French lace pattern book with pencil diagrams that i found there.

The life of a designer is a very busy one, often having meeting on different places in town…

Always running around Republique…Parmentier and the upper Marais.

Going to Marche Des Enfants rouges in the Marais, a place that i love, grabbing a snak.

Relaxing with some music and passing by a funky record store in the 11th arrondissement looking for some James Brown vibes.

Browsing in an antique shop I have found something a would love to buy…a wood hand!  Wearing the Carnivore Ring in stock at Kabiri.
